Sequim is Turning 100! "Like" us on Facebook. Our mission is to educate, celebrate and commemorate the 100 years since the City's incorporation.

Our year-long celebration kicked off on October 27, 2012 with a pancake breakfast held by the Sequim Prairie Grange (to view pictures of this event, click here) and a prime rib buffet dinner (to view pictures of this event, click here.) Thank you to all who participated in these kick-off events! Save the Date! Our finale takes place on November 2, 2013 in Club Seven at the Seven Cedars Casino.
Centennial products are available at City Hall or the Sequim Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce for purchase. Contact City Hall for more information.

Significant Dates in History
- August 4, 1913 - A petition to incorporate, signed by 79 qualified voters, was presented to the Board of Clallam County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners determined the boundaries of the proposed town.
- October 14, 1913 - An election was held for the purpose of determining whether the town should incorporate and for the election of town officers.
- October 20, 1913 - The Board of County Commissioners canvassed the votes cast at such election. There were 90 votes in favor and 66 against incorporating.
- October 31, 1913 - The articles of incorporation were filed with the Secretary of State’s Office.
- November 1913 - The first meeting of the Town Council was held.
