The City celebrated its Centennial in 2012 and 2013.

Our Mission
Centennial Committee mission is educate, celebrate, and commemorate.

Significant Dates in History
  • August 4, 1913 - A petition to incorporate, signed by 79 qualified voters was presented to the Board of Clallam County commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners determined the boundaries of the proposed town. 
  • October 14, 1913 - An election was held for the purpose of determining whether the town should incorporate and for the election of town officers. 
  •  October 20, 1913 - The Board of County Commissioners canvassed the votes cast at such election. There were 90 votes in favor and 66 against incorporating. 
  •  October 31, 1913 - The articles of incorporation were filed with the Secretary of State’s office. 
  •  November 1913 - The first meeting of the Town Council was held.
