About the Sister City Association
A memorandum of Understanding signed October 31, 1992, with Yamasaki, Japan. The Sister City Association was formed to:
- Promote friendship and mutual understanding between our communities
- Coordinate student educational exchanges
- Support the Friendship Garden
Yamasaki, Japan, joined with five other cities to form Shiso City, Japan. A new Sister City agreement was signed with Shiso City in 2004.
Membership Qualifications
If you have an interest in planning cultural events and student exchanges, fundraising, gardening, or just getting involved, you are invited to attend a Sister City Association meeting, which are open to everyone. To join or find out more information, download the
