Neighborhood Meeting April 2014
April 17, 2014
On April 17, 2014 the City of Sequim and Lydig Construction held the second neighborhood meeting to update the community on progress and what to expect during the next month as demolition buildings continues to make way for the new Civic Center.

The old City Hall has been demolished.  Abatement will continue on the duplex at 171 N. Spruce Avenue.  Demolition is expected to begin on Tuesday, April 22 of this building.  A fence will be placed in the alley behind the house and is expected to be in place all week.

During the week of April 28 abatement on the Serenity House buildings is expected to be completed.  The fence on the east side of the buildings will move out onto Sequim Avenue during demolition of the buildings, which is expected to start the week of May 5.  The parking spaces along that section of Sequim Avenue will not be available during the demolition.  The fence will move back onto the sidewalk, allowing a narrow sidewalk path once demolition is complete.  The construction crew will make sure a partial sidewalk is available during the Irrigation Festival weekends.

Sewer and PUD work will also begin the week of May 5.  Fences may block access to the alley during this time period.
