Planning Commission - seeking applicants
NEW - The City Council of the City of Sequim is seeking applicants for in-city resident positions on the Sequim Planning Commission. Commissioners volunteer their time to serve the Sequim community by advising the City Council on plans, policies, regulations, and capital spending related to growth and development.
The Planning Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Additional time may be required for other infrequent public meetings and events or special projects as required by the City Council.
Applicants for these positions must live within the Sequim city limits. The Mayor and an interview panel shall recommend appointments to the City Council after reviewing applications and conducting interviews.

Interested persons must submit applications by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023. Interviews will occur on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
UPDATE - A firm has been selected for our Comprehensive Plan Update. SJC Alliance out of Spokane, WA, was chosen out of five applicants.
Building Code Update
UPDATE - The State Building Code Council (SBCC) voted to delay the effective date of the 2021 Washington State codes. The new effective date will be March 15, 2024. The City of Sequim plans to adopt the 2021 codes at that time.
