About the Sister City Association

A memorandum of Understanding signed October 31, 1992, with Yamasaki, Japan. The Sister City Association was formed to:

  • Promote friendship and mutual understanding between our communities
  • Coordinate student educational exchanges
  • Support the Friendship Garden

Yamasaki, Japan, joined with five other cities to form Shiso City, Japan. A new Sister City agreement was signed with Shiso City in 2004.
