The Community Organic Gardens of Sequim (COGS) offers plots for organic growing and an orientation for plot-holders that will give you the basics you’ll need to get through your first year of growing. Chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are not allowed in either of the community gardens.
There are two COGS gardens. One is located at the City of Sequim’s June Robinson Memorial Park Garden on the corner of Sunnyside Avenue and Spruce Street, and the second is located on West Fir Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue. For detailed information about the gardens and to download a COGS plot application, visit the COGS website.
If you lease a plot, it’s available throughout the year. In-ground plots can be somewhat variable in size and shape but average about 100 square feet. We also provide a limited number of elevated beds (32-40 square feet) for those who cannot physically handle the traditional, in-ground plot.
Orientation for Plot-Holders
All plot-holders must attend a mandatory orientation session, which includes and introduction to organic gardening.
