[ARCHIVED] City Arts Advisory Commission Arts Blog

The Magician Surprised painting by Jeannine Chappell

The City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) invites you to visit their new Arts Blog. A link to the blog is on the City of Sequim website at https://www.sequimwa.gov/956/CAAC-Arts-Blog.

The CAAC Arts Blog was created to provide art sharing and support during COVID-19. On the site are interviews by local artists sharing their insights, practices and craft. There are currently interviews with seven amazing local artists: Susan Gansert Shaw, Dan Brewer, Jeannine Chappell, Terri Biondolino, Lynn Armstrong, Evan Miller and Jinx Bryant.

The interview series is an open nomination forum for any practicing artists of any medium in the Olympic Peninsula region. Residents can nominate someone or nominate themself. In addition, there is a page dedicated to supporting local art organizations and another page for artists to share how the community can help. The site has a contact page where readers can provide input on their needs, ideas or any future programming

For more information, please contact Arts Coordinator Aurora Lagattuta at alagattuta@sequimwa.gov  or (360) 582-2477.
