In the 2022 Washington State Legislative Session they approved $30.497M for the Highway 101 East Sequim Corridor Improvement Project as part of the Supplemental Transportation Budget and Move Ahead Washington. This includes funding for design completion and the build of the project.
On February 17, the Sequim City Council, Clallam County Board of Commissioners, and leadership of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe sent a joint letter to State Representatives Mike Chapman and Steve Tharinger, and State Senator Kevin Van De Wege in support of the the US Highway 101 East Corridor Improvement Project with On/Off Ramps and the Frontage Road.
