Applications for the vacant seat on the Sequim City Council will be accepted by the City Clerk at Sequim City Hall, 152 W. Cedar St. until 4:00 p.m. September 24, 2012.
The City Council is expected to conduct candidate interviews at the regular council meeting on Monday, October 8, 2012. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Transit Center located at 190 W. Cedar St. An appointment and swearing in of the new council member may occur at that meeting. The term of the appointment will expire on December 31. 2013.
The appointment will fill a vacancy created when council member Bill Huizinga resigned because he moved outside of the City of Sequim.
