[ARCHIVED] Annual Spring Clean Up for Sequim City Residents

The City of Sequim will hold its Annual Spring Clean Up program on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sequim City Shop located at 169 W. Hemlock.

The program is open to residents of incorporated Sequim only. There will be two different coupons included in the April issue of Sequim News, which is mailed in the city’s utility billing. For residents who do not receive a utility bill and newsletter, they can bring proof of city residency to City Hall, 152 W. Cedar Street, or the Public Works/Community Development Building, 615 N. 5th Ave., and pick-up the coupons.

One coupon will allow residents to bring one pick-up load, or approximately one square yard, of trash such as appliances, furniture, tires, etc. to the Sequim City Shop located at 169 W. Hemlock. Without a coupon, the cost is $10.00 for a pickup load, or approximately one square yard, of trash.

Sorry, no refrigerators, freezers, paints or hazardous materials. For household hazardous waste, please use the Moderate Risk Waste Facility (MRWF) at the Regional Transfer Station located at 3501 West 18th Street in Port Angeles. Call (360) 417-4875 or visit www.clallam.net for more information.

Saturday, April 20 Only
Joining in the spirit of keeping Sequim Clean, Cascade Bark, located at 11 Washington Harbor Rd., is offering their facility as a drop-off point for brush and yard waste on Saturday, April 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. only. Residents must bring the coupon for “yard waste” and Cascade Bark will take one pick-up load or approximately one square yard of brush and yard waste per household.

Pharmaceuticals can be dropped off at the Sequim Police Station, 609 W. Washington Street during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
