[ARCHIVED] Sign Up for the Sequim Centennial Beard and Mustache Challenge

The Sequim Centennial Committee is hosting a series of beard and mustache competitions as part of the Old Fashioned 4th of July Picnic at the Water Reuse Demonstration Park on Independence Day. All participants are encouraged to attend the Kick-Off Event at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013 at KRUSH Ultra Lounge located in Rock Plaza on the corner of Old Olympic Highway and Sequim Avenue.

Contest categories include existing growth and new growth and will be judged with consideration for the longest, fullest and most creative, in both the beard and mustache competitions. Those participating in the new growth competitions must attend the Kick-Off event to be photographed in their clean shaven status prior to the competition. The contests end on July 4, 2013 with judging and announcements beginning at 12:45 p.m. at the James Center for the Performing Arts.

Winners of the contests will each received a 5” X 7” souvenir photograph following a free photo shoot with award winning photographer Ernst Ulrich Shafer. The photos will be matted by Creative Framing of Sequim. All winners will also have their choice of a piece of Centennial wear. There is no fee to enter the challenge.
