As part of the Sequim Centennial Celebration, two community photographs will be taken at events over the 4th of July Weekend.
The first photograph will be taken at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the Old Fashioned Town Picnic. The picnic will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Water Reuse Demonstration Park north of Carrie Blake Park. The photograph will be taken at the James Center for the Performing Arts.
The second photograph will be taken at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5 prior to the start of the “Street Dance of the Century.” The Street Dance will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sequim Avenue, and will feature the music of Retro-Rock & Roll band “Magic Bus” with special guest “The Guy Johnson Band.” The photograph will be taken in the City’s main intersection at Sequim Avenue and Washington Street.
Details about purchasing copies of the photographs will be available soon. The photographs will also be included in a Centennial time capsule, which will be opened in the year 2063.
All members of the community are encouraged to come out and participate in the community photographs while they are enjoying the Centennial Celebration activities.
