[ARCHIVED] Artists and Sponsors Needed for the Traffic Utility Box Art Project

The City of Sequim is looking for sponsors and artists to continue developing the Traffic Utility Box Vinyl Wrap Project. The public at project began as part of the Sequim Centennial Celebration in 2013. To date, three traffic utility boxes have been wrapped in unique designs submitted by local artists. The City is looking for new design submittals and sponsors for the program.

Sponsorship of a traffic utility box is $1500. $500 goes to compensate the artist and $1000 covers the production and installation of the art. Each box has a panel identifying the artist and sponsor and has a Quick Response (QR) code that can be scanned with a smart phone to learn more about the project on the City’s website www.sequimwa.gov.

Artists can also view the complete Call for Entries and background materials on the City website www.sequimwa.gov. Art submittals will be reviewed on how well they meet the criteria outlined in the Call for Entries. Approved art will be installed upon the availability of sponsorships.

If you would like to sponsor a Traffic Utility Box, submit a design, or have questions, please contact Communications and Marketing Director Barbara Hanna at 681-3422 or bhanna@sequimwa.gov.
