The City of Sequim will hold a Parks Master Plan Update Visioning Workshop on Wednesday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Memorial Park meeting facility, located at 387 E. Washington Street. Residents can come by anytime throughout the day to give their input on shaping the future of Sequim’s City Parks and Recreation system. The City is looking for feedback on the condition of the parks system, what recreational needs are currently unmet, and what types of programs should be offered.
Feedback from the workshop will help to guide future investment, development, and maintenance decisions related to the City’s parks and recreation system for the next twenty years. The plan will blend strategic planning with implementation strategies that best meets the community’s needs.
Results from the visioning workshop will also be incorporated into the Sequim 120 process as part of the new Comprehensive Plan, which will also provide policy direction for future City expenditures for parks and recreation.
