SEQUIM –Beginning the week of July 27, 2015, the City of Sequim will begin work on several pavement rehabilitation projects. Rehabilitation includes pavement reconstruction, pavement overlay, and subgrade repair.
The following streets will be reconstructed:
• North 4th Avenue-between West Fir Street and West Cedar Street
• South 2nd Avenue-between East Bell Street and East Hammond Street
• North 2nd Avenue-between East Spruce Street and East Alder Street
• North Brown Road-between East Fir Street and East Willow Street
• Alley east of 2nd Avenue-between West Cedar Street and West Fir Street
In addition, South 7th Avenue will consist of subgrade repair (between West Washington and West Prairie) and pavement overlay between West Washington and 100 ft. of Hemlock. The subgrade repair will include the shoulder of Dungeness Way (adjacent to Eagle Mountain Estates), Whitefeather Way, and the intersection of Cedar and Sequim Avenue.
The work is expected to take approximately 45 working days depending on the weather. Some roads will be reduced to one lane of vehicle traffic with flaggers. Drivers should expect some delays. There will be no parking on these streets during construction. The work will be performed by Lakeside Industries.
