[ARCHIVED] Armed Robbery Occurs in Sequim

SEQUIM--In the early morning hours of Friday, January 29, 2016 a robbery occurred at the Sequim West Motel in Sequim. The victim reported that a person he knew knocked on the door of his rented room at about 3:45 AM. When he answered the door an armed man the victim did not know entered the room and demanded money and valuables. The suspect was armed with a smaller handgun. No shots were fired.

After collecting the victim’s money and other items of some value, the pair fled the room leaving the victim in the room alone. No injuries were reported having occurred during the incident.
All evidence suggests that this was not a random crime, and the victim in this case was specifically targeted.

While police continue to investigate, anyone who may have information concerning this crime is encouraged to call the Sequim Police Department at 360-683-7227.
