[ARCHIVED] Sequim Police Officer John Southard Promoted to Sergeant

Sequim Police Officer John Southard has been promoted and was sworn in as Sergeant in a ceremony at the Sequim Civic Center on Monday, January 30, 2017.

The position is one of five sergeants that serve under Police Chief Sheri Crain. Southard will serve as a Patrol Sergeant.

“We are very lucky to have someone with John’s leadership skills and commitment to the community join our management team,” said Police Chief Sheri Crain.

Southard has worked with the department since June 2007. He has served as a Field Training Officer, a member of the Training Cadre, and is SWAT trained. Southard also serves in the United States Army National Guard and has over 19 years military service.
