Posted on: April 11, 2017[ARCHIVED] Informational Open House on 5th and McCurdy Water System Booster Station
SEQUIM—The City of Sequim Public Works Department invites the public to an informational Open House on Tuesday, April 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar Street, to learn more about the upcoming 5th and McCurdy Water System Booster Station project slated to begin construction this summer.
The 5th and McCurdy Booster Pump Station project includes the replacement of an existing 10-hp booster pump, which is near the end of its useful life, with a new pump. The project also includes the installation of an additional 10-hp booster pump, a back-up generator, and a building to house electrical and communication systems. The station provides a critical link between the City's main wellfield, located at Port Williams, and the higher elevated reservoir in the City. The new pumps will provide reliable pumping and the capacity to meet the maximum daily demand for the areas upstream of the booster station.
