Posted on: September 14, 2017[ARCHIVED] The City of Sequim to Begin Work on Booster Pump Station
The City of Sequim Public Works Department will begin work on the water utility 5th Avenue and McCurdy Booster Pump Station on Monday, September 25.
The station provides a critical link between the City’s main wellfield, located at Port Williams, and the higher elevated reservoir in the City. The project includes the replacement of an existing 10-hp booster pump, the installation of an additional 10-hp booster pump, a back-up generator, and a building to house electrical and communications systems. The new pumps will provide reliable pumping and the capacity to meet the maximum daily demand for the areas upstream of the booster station.
The work will be performed by Hoch Construction of Port Angeles and is being funded by the City of Sequim and the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Please contact City Engineer Matt Klontz at 360-582-2472 or mklontz@sequimwa.gov with questions.
