The City of Sequim will kick off its Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Program with a Business Blitz on Tuesday, October 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The City will partner with the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Clallam County Economic Development Corporation to visit 50 businesses in the City and start a dialogue about future plans and concerns of the business, City services, and available programs that may assist businesses with their overall wellness. City staff will continue meeting with additional businesses following the Business Blitz.

City staff is in the process of contacting businesses to schedule visits, but if a business would like to ensure they are visited, they are welcome to contact Assistant City Manager Joe Irvin at 360-582-2457 or jirvin@sequimwa.gov.

The BRE Program is a component of the City’s Economic Development Plan that was adopted by the City Council in December 2016. The information collected from the visits will be tabulated and analyzed to assist the City Council in establishing goals around Economic Development for the City.
