Posted on: May 8, 2018[ARCHIVED] Pioneer Park Fountain Ribbon Cutting
Please join the City of Sequim and the Sequim Prairie Garden Club for a ribbon cutting at the newly restored fountain at Pioneer Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 16 at 12:00 noon.
Refreshments will be served in the Club House following the ceremony, where visitors will be able to enjoy a display of historic photographs of the construction of the original fountain.
The waterfall style fountain was originally completed in 1965, but became inoperable in the 1990’s due to leaks and other malfunctions. The water was turned off and the pool was filled with cement. Restoration on the fountain began in 2017.
