The City of Sequim has been notified by the Secretary of State of Washington Office that the City has been awarded a grant for up to $13,100 to purchase software for the public disclosure program.
The City applied for the grant to help with the costs of purchasing a software program called GovQA. The software will assist the City in tracking requirements from the State’s Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC), reduce the amount of staff time required for documentation of staff time while working on records requests, and make it easier to locate documents, especially if they have been requested before.
Staff is expecting to purchase the software and be trained and ready for implementation by the second quarter of 2019.
