[ARCHIVED] Registered Sex Offender Arrested on New Charges

On February 2nd, Sequim Police Officers arrested and booked into the Clallam County Correctional Facility, Lynn G. Johnson (age 67) for Rape of a Child 1st Degree, Rape of a Child 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Rape of a Child 3rd Degree, 3 Counts of Child Molestation 2nd Degree, 4 Counts of Child Molestation 3rd Degree and Attempted Rape 2nd Degree.  Johnson was arrested out of his vehicle, about one block away from his residence 367 W. Cedar without incident.  

Johnson is a Level 2 Sex Offender, registered at 367 W. Cedar St.   Johnson's criminal history has previous convictions for Child Molestation 2nd Degree and Child Molestation 3rd Degree in 1996. 

Several local juveniles, ages ranging from 13 to 16, contacted Sequim Police in mid- January 2019 to report instances of sexual contact with Johnson that occurred over a period of several years.  Johnson allegedly often supplied these minors with money, alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana in exchange for sexual favors.  

Investigation into these reports uncovered approximately four known victims at this time.
