[ARCHIVED] The City Arts Advisory Commission Announces 2019 Music in the Park Lineup

Eleven musical groups will headline this year’s Music in the Park concerts.  

The concert series kicks off one week earlier this year on Tuesday, June 18th, with the Navy Band Northwest.  Twenty bands applied to perform during this year's concert series.

The concerts take place at the James Center for the Performing Arts in Carrie Blake Park and start at 6 p.m. each Tuesday through August 27th.  New this year, food and drink, will be available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m. Coyote BBQ Pub will offer pulled pork sandwiches and non-alcoholic beverages each concert in June, July and August 6th, 20th & 27th, and Alder Wood Bistro will offer wood-fired pizza by the slice on August 13th.    

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to get comfortable and enjoy live music!

  • June 25th    Caribe Steel Band (Caribbean, Reggae, Calypso, Soca, & Samba)
  • July 2nd        Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” (Swing & Gypsy Jazz)
  • July 9th        John Hoover and the Mighty Quinns (Music of John Denver)
  • July 16th    Stardust Big Band (18-piece Big Band Music)
  • July 23rd    Bread & Gravy (Blues, Classic Rock, Contemporary, & more)
  • July 30th    Max Hatt & Edda Glass (Contemporary, Jazz, Bossa Nova, & Brazilian)
  • August 6th    Black Diamond Junction (Classic Rock, Pop, & Country Hits)
  • August 13th    Blue Rhinos (Blues & Rock)
  • August 20th    Farmstrong (Folk, Country, & Bluegrass)
  • August 27th    Joy in Mudville (Americana/Roots Rock)
