[ARCHIVED] City of Sequim Issues Request for Proposal for New Festival Producer

Sequim Sunshine Festival

The City of Sequim has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a contract Festival Producer to manage the hands-on tasks associated with the new Sequim Sunshine Festival scheduled to take place March 6 & 7, 2020.

The festival is slated to be an annual event that will bring visitors to Sequim during one of the slowest times of the year.  The event features one of Sequim’s best-known assets:  Sunshine.  The festival will celebrate the end of winter with the hope of spring and will focus on light, positive energy, and summertime activities.  A committee of City staff and volunteers have been planning the festival since April 2018.

The RFP is for a contract that will begin in June 2019 and complete at the end of March 2020.  The contract may be extended pending successful completion of the inaugural event. Compensation for the 10-month contract is not to exceed $18,000.

Proposals will be judged on the quality and completeness of the submittal, festival production experience of the proposer, past performance of the proposer, and a case study of a comparable project.

The deadline for proposals is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.  All proposals must be submitted to:
