Learn to exercise specifically to de-age your body, gaining strength, energy, and preserving your bones and joints for years of active aging and quality of life.
Jay Bryan will present this workshop on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sequim Transit Center located at 190 West Cedar Street in Sequim. The workshop is free and open to the public.
As the City of Sequim approaches its 100th birthday, the City’s Centennial team is partnering with the Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic to bring a series of health and wellness classes to the people of Sequim. The classes began in January 2012 and will continue through 2013.
The Healthy Solutions on Our Way to Turning 100! series comes as the nation is at a “tipping point.” A large percentage of the country is obese, many people have poor nutritional habits and many are underinsured or uninsured. Learning good eating habits, incorporating more exercise into daily life, and developing stress reduction techniques are tools that will benefit everyone in our community. With knowledge it is up to each individual to incorporate that knowledge and to make a change. It is also key that we encourage each other to make and maintain these changes.
The series of workshops and classes is being coordinated by Barb Paschal of the Dungeness Valley Heatlh and Wellness Clinic as part of the clinic’s outreach program to provide education to the Sequim-Dungeness Valley community. Look for information on upcoming classes and workshops.
