[ARCHIVED] First Responders Partner for Drill at Sequim Middle School

Sequim Police Department

The City of Sequim, Clallam County Fire District 3, and the Sequim School District are partnering to hold a Criminal Mass Casualty Incident (CMCI) drill at Sequim Middle School on Saturday, September 28.  The drill will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to last until the middle of the afternoon.

Hendrickson Road will be closed in front of Sequim Middle School.  Driveways to neighboring businesses along Hendrickson Road will be open.  The Olympic Discovery Trail will not be affected.  The area around Sequim Middle School will be in lockdown and residents are asked to stay clear of the area during the drill.

“This drill will simulate an active shooter at the school and give police, fire, and the school district an opportunity to test our response protocol for this type of incident,” said Sequim Police Chief Sheri Crain.
