[ARCHIVED] Sequim Police Department Makes Arrest in Stabbing Incident

Medics from Clallam County Fire District #3 responded to a call of what was believed to be a medical emergency in an apartment building at South 5th Avenue at 7:21 PM on Tuesday, October 8. Medics found a victim who was apparently the victim of a violent assault and notified the Sequim Police Department, who responded immediately. The victim, a 58-year-old man who lived at the apartment building was airlifted to Harbor View Medical Center where he remains in stable condition. Police arrested a 48-year-old woman in connection with the alleged assault. Larisa Jean Dietz of Sequim was booked into the Clallam County Jail.

The Police are investigating the incident with assistance from the Washington State Patrol and the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET).  The general public was not in danger during the incident and no other persons are believed to be involved in the assault.
