[ARCHIVED] City of Sequim Hires Sara McMillon as City Clerk

New City Clerk Sara McMillon

The City of Sequim has hired Sara McMillon as the new City Clerk.  Her first day will be December 2.  McMillon replaces Karen Kuznek-Reese who retired from the City in September.

McMillon is a Certified Municipal Clerk and has 13 years of experience in the role.  She has served the past seven years as the City Clerk for the City of Newcastle, Washington and served previously as the Town Clerk-Treasurer for Yarrow Point, Washington and as City Clerk for Driggs, Idaho.

“We are very excited to have someone with Sara’s experience join our team in this essential role,” said Assistant City Manager Charisse Deschenes.

McMillon has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism from the University of Missouri.

“My values really led me here.  I want to contribute to a close-knit community with a healthy environment, in proximity to both natural places and the arts.  I think Sequim is that exceptional kind of place,” McMillon said.
