The Craig Buhler Quartet is a perennial Sequim Valley favorite attraction. Although each performance promises new surprises, the group always delivers a broad variety of warm, approachable, listenable jazz music suitable for the entire family. While many of the selections are lively dance-able numbers, some tender love ballads are always interspersed. The bulk of their material derives from “The Great American Songbook,” (familiar selections by Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, and Hoagy Carmichael.) Recently, they have begun adding jazz versions of the best loved pop tunes from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, and an occasional original composition tops off the performance.
