Bob Lake

City Council
Title: City Councilmember
Phone: 360-582-2475

Having been trained as Civil Defense Volunteers while living in Christchurch, New Zealand, he and his wife were active during the several damaging earthquakes, the many aftershocks, and assisting people rebuild their lives and businesses. After moving back to the US, it seemed a natural fit to volunteer in emergency preparedness with our fire department, and become a team member of the Clallam County Emergency Management Volunteers.

Bob began his official City of Sequim involvement by joining the Parks and Recreation Board.

In January 2016, he was appointed to the City Council to replace a vacated position. He was elected in 2017 to a four-year term.

Bob serves as the Council’s representative on the Parks and Recreation Board, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and on the Peninsula Responders Emergency Program. Other community involvement includes CERT, the American Red Cross, the Olympic Peninsula Men’s Chorus, the Peninsula Trails Coalition (Olympic Discovery Trail) Board and Tax Aide.

Exploring Sequim as the best place to live because of the weather, his wife and he decided it is the best place to live because of the people.
