Ted moved to Clallam County in 1997 and Sequim in 2006. He practiced law in Virginia after graduating from George Mason Law School. He has worked for the CIA and NRO after receiving his degree in Mathematics from Michigan State. Ted has been married for 39 years and has 2 children and one grandchild. 

Ted previously served as chair of the Sequim Planning Commission. He was elected to the City Council in 2009. He was elected by the Council to serve as Mayor Pro-Tem in 2012, Deputy Mayor in 2016, and served in that capacity through 2017. 

He serves on the Finance Committee, Comp Plan steering committee, Clallam County Law & Justice Council and North Olympic Development Committee (NODC). 

He currently serves on the Board of Stratford Court (Sherwood Village) Condominium Association.
