The City of Sequim Engineering staff consists of one Certified Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Washington, a GIS specialist, and an Engineer in Training Technician licensed in the State of Washington. The Engineering staff strives to provide the utmost service for the citizens of Sequim. Their responsibilities include:

  • Initiating, managing, and inspecting municipal projects
  • Reviewing and approving construction permits and development plans
  • Developing design and construction standards
  • Manage traffic and pedestrian systems throughout the city
  • Responsible for the lighting within the right-of-way throughout the city
  • Appraisal of infrastructure safety elements during emergency situations
  • GIS mapping and record keeping
  • Services contracted based on competitive bidding by qualifying contractors
  • Neighborhood management based on interactive concerns expressed by citizens
